Lance Pierce

Lance Pierce joined the Association of Florida Community Developers as its second Lance Pierce, Executive Director Executive Director in March of 2019. Lance comes to AFCD from the Florida Farm Bureau Federation, where he served as Assistant Director of State Legislative Affairs since 2013, leading lobbying and communication efforts on legislative and political issues relating to agriculture. He also assisted in membership outreach and engagement opportunities as a member of Florida Farm Bureau’s legislative advocacy department.

Prior to his work with Florida Farm Bureau, Lance worked as the Grassroots Development Manager at the Florida Chamber of Commerce, where he helped build issue-based coalitions in support of legislative and political advocacy, assisted in corporate relations and membership growth and coordinated grassroots support for pro-business issues among local chambers of commerce across the state of Florida.

Lance received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Troy University in 2008 and his M.P.A. in Public Administration from Troy University in 2010. He lives in Tallahassee with his wife Lindsay and three children, Park, Kullen, and Palmer.
